How do I cite Perusall?

  • Updated

Perusall can generate citations for most PDFs, ePubs, websites, podcasts, and videos—provided the necessary information is available. Instructors can also manually add or edit citation details by navigating to the course Library, selecting the document, and updating the document’s information.

  1. To generate the citation, enter the document and click the Generate citation citation Icon.svg in the right side panel.
  2. From the drop down, select the specific citation style. Perusall will then generate a citation for the document as a whole.
  3. To generate a quote citation, then highlight a piece of text. This will now appear under the document citation.

Citing Comments

If you'd like to use a comment from Perusall, when citing, use the comment as a "quote from a website."
