If your instructor has enabled groups for an assignment, you will only see comments and threads from your specific group members.
To view your group members:
- Open your Perusall assignment.
On the right-hand toolbar, click the Group Members icon (the icon looks like three people).
- A panel will open on the right listing your group number and the names of your group mates
Why don't I see any comments?
If the document appears empty, don't worry, as this is is usually normal!
You might be the first: If you are the first person in your group to start a conversation on a specific page or document, the feed will be empty until your group mates join in.
Private Threads: Even if students in other groups have commented, you will not see their posts. Only your instructor can see comments from the entire class.
If you consistently see very few comments, your group might be too small for the level of discussion required. You may want to suggest that your instructor increase the group size in the course settings to encourage more interaction.
