Perusall allows instructors to customize their courses to fit their specific needs. Navigate to Settings in the left navigation sidebar to configure overall course information. Perusall settings are organized into different sections, each containing subsections with specific options.
- Define course details and determine whether and how analytics and scoring will be incorporated.
- Define course department, student level, and outline course learning objectives that can be applied to assignments and can inform AI generated checkpoint prompts.
- Configure how student groups are structured and organized. In Perusall, we give teachers four options: No grouping, Fixed grouping for all course material, Assignment-based grouping, or Library content-based grouping.
- Control student, teaching assistant, and instructor permissions.
- Customize how Perusall calculates engagement scores by setting up scoring templates and rubrics.
- Adjust fine-grained course options for your content library, comments, scoring and chats.
- Set up tools to promote academic integrity, including Turnitin integration.
- Customize the language and labels used in Perusall to align with your course's needs.
