Desire2Learn Instructor Setup

After Perusall has been installed by your admin, you can follow these steps to set up your D2L-linked Perusall course.

1. To set up your Perusall course, go to a content area of your D2L course, select Existing Activities, then click External Learning Tools, and select Perusall from the links provided Perusall will now be in the module area. 
2. Next, click the drop down arrow next to the Perusall link, select Edit properties in place, and check off the box next to Open as an external resource.
3. Launch Perusall and create your D2L-Perusall integrated course. Perusall will automatically sync your Perusall course roster with the D2L roster.

For D2L Users with The New Content Experience

1. In your D2L content area, create a New Unit or locate an existing unit, click Add New > External Tool Activity, and select Perusall (commonly listed as "1.3") from the links available.
2. In the next window, title the activity, "Perusall," do not add grading, and Save.
3. Back in the Content Unit, click on the link to launch Perusall in a new window and create your D2L-Perusall integrated course. Perusall will automatically sync your Perusall course roster with the D2L roster.
