Threshold scoring allows instructors to grade Perusall assignments as pass/fail, where students receive either full credit or no credit based on a minimum required score.
To enable threshold scoring, go to Settings > Scoring > Automatic Scoring, create or edit a scoring template, and scroll to the bottom to enter a value in the Threshold score for credit field.
If a threshold is set, all scores in the Gradebook will be either 1 (meets threshold) or 0 (does not meet threshold). For example, if the assignment score scale is 0-3 and the threshold is set to 2, students will receive a 1 if their score is 2 or 3, and a 0 if their score is 0 or 1.
If you are using threshold scoring with LMS grade sync, please note that when your LMS gradebook column management settings are set to automatic, the grades will sync as either the highest or lowest possible scores from your assignment score range (ex. 0-5 would appear as 0 for no credit or 5 full credit).
If you want to change the score range in the LMS, we suggest you set LMS gradebook column management to deep link mode.
