Getting started with Staging
To access our testing environment, navigate to staging.perusall.com. There, you can create an account, and test out the Perusall platform before building content in Production (app.perusall.com). This process is ideal for admins wanting to test out LMS integrations and how the platform works.
The staging environment does not communicate with Perusall's production environment. Courses created within staging cannot be copied into production. Please do not make real courses in staging, as staging is periodically wiped and meant for testing purposes.
LTI 1.3 Integrations
When testing within the staging environment, when installing the tool, pay close attention to URLs when configuring an LTI integration (i.e. app.perusall.com must be change to staging.perusall.com in order for the installation to function). Staging also has its own Institutional dashboard, so you will need to have access to both your staging and production dashboards for full integration testing & implementation purposes.
Books
Want to test adopting a textbook from the Perusall catalog, as well as simulate the purchasing process? Create a course in staging, and follow the same steps to request a book.
Staging does not have real textbooks, so there are only two example text books available within the staging catalog. Please contact support via Get help > Contact Perusall support to get your request fulfilled.
Once your request has been added to the course, as a student, you will be prompted to purchase access to the text. For test credit card information, please refer to stripe’s documentation.
