Instructor review assignments allow a student to submit an original document for direct instructor feedback without peer-to-peer interactions. Similar to Perusall's other Review-Based Assignments, Instructor review assignments follow a series of cascading deadlines. The assignment setup is as follows:
- Navigate to the Assignments tab of your course, select Add assignment, and then choose
Instructor review assignment.
- Under Basics, name the assignment and set the deadlines for each stage in chronological order.
- Under Rubric, select a Rubric for evaluation of submissions using the dropdown menu, create a new Rubric for this assignment, or choose Qualitative feedback only (no rubric) to remove the Rubric from the assignment. Learn more about customizing your rubrics.
- Enable Do not ask reviewers to provide overall feedback if you don’t want to require students to submit Overall feedback. Students will still be required to submit in-text comments.
- Under Options, specify further details, such as instructions for students, assignment availability, who should receive the assignments, and your policy regarding anonymity.
- Under Scoring, select your Scoring template for this assignment from the dropdown, or create a custom one. Learn more about scoring templates.
