Instructor review assignments allow student's to submit an original document for direct instructor feedback without peer-to-peer interactions. Similar to Perusall's other Review-Based Assignments, Instructor review assignments follow a series of cascading deadlines.

Create the Assignment
Navigate to the Assignments tab.
Select Add Assignment and choose the Instructor review option.

Set the Basics & Deadlines

Under Basics, name the assignment and set the deadlines for each stage in chronological order.

Adjust Scoring
- Under Scoring template for this assignment select from the dropdown, or create a custom one.

Attach a Rubric
- Under Rubric, select a pre-made rubric, create a new one, or choose Qualitative feedback only.
- Enable Do not ask reviewers to provide overall feedback if you don’t want to require students to submit Overall feedback. Students will still be required to submit in-text comments.

Specify Assignment Options
- Under Options, specify assignment details such as instructions for students, the date the assignment is visible, and who is partaking.
